These pages present project outputs, including talks, publications, and outreach from our National Science Foundation Biodiversity Discovery and Analysis project, Southern Amazonian birds and their symbionts: Biodiversity and endemicity of parasites from the most diverse avifauna on Earth.  Outputs to date include peer reviewed research papers describing new species of parasites and even one paper describing a new species of bird.  Other peer-reviewed publications in the works include various papers on the phylogenetics, evolutionary history, and taxonomy of birds and parasites.  The PIs have also presented invited talks, talks at meetings, and have participated in various outreach activities aimed at disseminating biodiversity research on birds and their parasites to the general public.
