Want to make your visit even more special?
Download one of our Family Adventure Tours to help you and your children make the most of our exhibitions.  And don’t forget to ask about special kid-friendly programming available on the day of your visit.  Here’s a selection of some of our favorite activities:

Interpretive Stations
Stop by an interpretive station for hands-on activities throughout the Museum. Find out what your name looks like in Egyptian hieroglyphs, put together a huge floor map of Africa, or dissect an owl pellet to find out what the bird ate. Check the information desk when you arrive for a list of the day's activities. Weekends, 10 a.m. - noon & 1-3 p.m.

Kraft Story Time
Listen to a story and make an art project to take home—all in just 20 minutes! Saturday and Sunday, year round; daily in July and August 1:30 p.m.

Museum Highlight Tours
Enjoy a guided tour of some of the Museum's most popular, famous and unique exhibitions. Hear the stories behind these fascinating treasures from nature and human culture. Monday–Friday, 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m.

Join us for a night of family workshops, self-guided tours and fun activities; then spread your sleeping bag amidst some of the most popular exhibitions.

Crown Family PlayLab
Dig in...Dress up... Explore and grow! Young children are natural scientists, constantly observing and testing the world around them. Now there’s a wonderful new place to encourage your child’s explorations and creative play: the Crown Family PlayLab at The Field Museum. The Crown Family PlayLab is free with Basic admission and is open Thursdays through Mondays from 10am to 4pm, last admission is at 3pm.

Birthday Parties at The Field Museum
Birthday Parties include private party room, themed activities and a personal party host.
