Ant Lab Internship: Collection Studies & Molecular Methods
2012 High School Summer Internship Project
Project Description: The student will participate in basic insect curation and identification and work on ant samples in the DNA Discovery Center at the Field Museum. This job consists of sorting ants from bulk/mixed jars of invertebrates collected from around the world. In addition, the student will participate in DNA based research on ants. The student will learn basic insect classification and identification and DNA based molecular laboratory skills.
