Badge Day at The Field
Boy Scouts - Earn a Merit Badge at The Field Museum!
Badge Day at The Field will have Boy Scouts trekking across the Museum with fun scavenger hunts, exploring natural sciences through hands-on activities, and experience a behind-the-scenes tour with a Field Museum scientist.
Badges offered include: Environmental Science, Indian Lore, Mammal Study and Geology. All Merit Badge requirements completed through the program!
Programs offered Saturdays in the fall. Fall 2012 dates announced in July 2012. Check back to this webpage or email scouts@fieldmuseum.org to be placed on a Scouts Event Email List.

Scouts gained special access to restricted areas of The Field Museum to learn about our collections of…
…Geology’s oversized fossils…
…different kinds of fish in the Zoology Wet Lab…
… spiders and insects in the Insects Division …
Scouts also completed activities in the classroom and in the exhibitions, including…
…a scavenger hunt through 4 billion year’s of Earth’s history in the Evolving Planet exhibition…
…becoming an expert on an animal for Mammal Study and Environmental Science…
… and creating their own exhibition of endangered species put on display for Museum guests to view!
