Join Field Museum scientists Bill Stanley and Mary Anne Rogers on our classic Tanzania Safari! You'll visit several of Africa’s premier wildlife parks including the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We have timed our visit to take advantage of the seasonal migration of wildlife into the southern part of the renowned Serengeti ecosystem. This 14-day journey to Tanzania gives you the opportunity to observe an impressive array of exciting wildlife, including elephant, black rhino, giraffe, and the largest concentration of lion on the African continent, as well as the beauty and diversity of the African terrain.

Hidden Egypt

Get an exclusive insider’s perspective of ancient Egypt on this special-access program that goes behind-the-scenes at many archaeological sites that are closed to the public. Visit sites and museums that no trip to Egypt would be complete without and, take a private tour inside the Sphinx enclosure and a private after-hours tour of the Egyptian Museum, tour the inside of the Step Pyramid of Djoser, and go inside the mountain of Abu Simbel’s Great Temple.

Cuba

On this tour you will enjoy in-depth exploration of 4 of Cuba’s 7 cities founded by 16th century explorer Diego Velazquez: Santiago, Baracoa, Trinidad, and Havana. Enjoy a first-hand look at the arts in Cuba with visits to the home of artists Juan Moreira and Alicia Leal and the home of art critic and dealer Cristina Vives, plus a cocktail reception at the Ludwig Foundation. You will also learn about U.S.-Cuban relations with a lecture by professor/diplomat Carlos Alzuguray and a briefing at the U.S. Interest Section in Havana.
