Edge Quintanilla has spent the last 6 years of his career facilitating learning using digital technologies. Through lectures, workshops, programs and a wide range of digital media, he has co-facilitated programs like “I Dig Science” - a paleontology-based camp taking place in Second Life and in partnership with the Biodiversity Synthesis Center at The Field Museum, “Digital Planet” - a movie-making and digital storytelling workshop for teens, and “Youth Design Team” - a design-thinking course for high school youth.
Current projects at The Field Museum include working with Field Museum scientists and researchers to develop STEM workshops for Teens through the use of digital tools and techniques. Most recently, Edge has developed and facilitated programs such as Sound Planet and Mobile Planet.
Edge received his BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Humanities, Marketing and Music from the University of Central Florida.
