Introduction:
Since 2007 I have been working on the Latin American Plant Initiative (LAPI) and the Global Plant Initiative (GPI) scanning high-resolution images of flowering plant, mosses and lichens. The images are attached to data information for a massive collaborative online database that brings together 160 museums, universities and herbaria from 60 countries.
I also worked on a photography project to capture images of the Economic Botany collection’s specimens that were acquired from the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography, film and electronic media from The University of Illinois at Chicago.
