2/15/12 Recently trained Calling Frog Survey volunteers map out their plans for monitoring frog calls this spring. Over 60 new volunteers were trained this spring at Sand Ridge Nature Center and by Al Resetar and Shirley Heinze Land Trust at The Indiana Dunes State Park.  Photo taken by Monica Mueller.

Father and son duo tackle invasive brush along the sand ridges of Powderhorn. Over 38 volunteers came out to lend a hand.

Although not a photo of the bald eagles that have been spotted nesting again in Calumet, I saw this hawk alighting on the power lines at sunset in Central Park in Park Forest.
