Science at FMNH : Ep. 7 - Collecting Birds for Museums

A wealth of information can be gathered from a single bird specimen.  From catching and processing the bird to collecting and documenting the parasites and pathogens in and on the bird, Field Museum scientists follow detailed procedures to gather as much data as possible.
