Badge Day at The Field

Boy Scouts - Earn a Merit Badge at The Field Museum!  

Badge Day at The Field will have Boy Scouts trekking across the Museum with fun scavenger hunts, exploring natural sciences through hands-on activities, and experience a behind-the-scenes tour with a Field Museum scientist.

All Merit Badge requirements are completed through the program!  Each program runs from 9am-3:30pm.  For more information, download the Badge Day at the Field flyer and our FAQs.

Registration for Badge Day 2013 will open on July 1.  Check back for a link to our registration page.  Many dates sell out each year, so we encourage you to buy your tickets early.

October 5: Environmental Science Part 1 and Archaeology

October 19:Environmental Science Part 1 and Archaeology

November 2: Environmental Science Part 1 and Indian Lore

November 9: Environmental Science Part 2 and Geology

November 16: Environmental Science Part 2 and Mammal Study

December 7: Environmental Science Part 2 and Mammal Study

Two badge programs run concurrently each Saturday.  However, scouts can only complete one badge per day.  If you have any questions or would like to be added to our mailing list, please email scouts@fieldmuseum.org.

Scouts also completed activities in the classroom and in the exhibitions, including…

…a scavenger hunt through 4 billion year’s of Earth’s history in the Evolving Planet exhibition…

…becoming an expert on an animal for Mammal Study and Environmental Science…

… and creating their own exhibition of endangered species put on display for Museum guests to view!
