Reader’s Digest Recommends Images of the Afterlife
Reader’s Digest recently recommended taking a peek at The Field Museum’s newest exhibition, Images of the Afterlife, which opened June 8. Recent CT scans provided scientists with rare insights into the lives of two ancient Egyptian mummies who lived and died thousands of years ago. These scans, combined with the latest 3-D imaging, enabled French artist Elisabeth Daynès to create lifelike sculptural portraits displayed exclusively at The Field Museum. Reader’s Digest reveals the “Three Things a Mummy Won’t Tell You,” calling the recreations “incredibly moving.” To learn more, click here.
