Chicago Cultural Alliance holds its first fundraiser
On April 29, 2010 the Chicago Cultural Alliance held its first fundraiser Mosaic, at the Irish American Heritage Center. Keynote speaker John McCarter recapped the formation of the Alliance through the Cultural Connections program led by the Museum’s Center for Cultural Understanding and Change, now ECCo. ECCo staff member Rosa Cabrera was personally thanked in closing remarks by the Alliance’s Board President, Swedish Consul Kerstin Lane. The fundraiser was a success with 200 attendees. The funds support the Alliance’s work creating cross-cultural programs that highlight the value of Chicago’s cultural diversity in sustaining a healthy region.
