This past summer, The Hall of Birds at The Field Museum, one of the most outstanding displays of birds in the world, received extensive upgrades.
The Hall of Birds re-opened to the public on September 25, 2012.
With updated content, reflecting new information about the relationships between bird species, the hall has a new graphic design look, along with new paint and flooring.
Exhibition preparators work on the owls case.
Atmospheric projections illuminate the walls and fill the space with bird calls and sounds.
The re-designed Hall of Birds also includes new digital labeling that lets visitors discover and share their passion for these beautiful and amazing animals once again.
