I am responsible for the 2 million specimen fossil invertebrate collection. My area of specialty is Devonian brachiopods. I have done fieldwork in Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, Alberta Canada, China, Australia, and New Zealand. Recently I have given presentations about the collection at the annual SPNCH meeting in Ottawa, Canada and at the annual GSA meeting in Denver, Colorado.

My research is focused on Middle Devonian brachipods. I am examining how sea level rises and falls allowed different brachiopod faunas to migrate from Europe to Artic Canada and Western North America and then into the Midwest and Eastern North America. These Old World Faunas replaced many of the endemic faunas as they migrated.
