Ticketed Exhibitions
Free Wednesdays
Free Day tickets are available for Illinois residents every Wednesday. Advance online reservations strongly recommended. Tickets are also available onsite subject to availability. Present your proof of Illinois residency alongside your mobile ticket for express admission into the Museum.
Community Discounts
We are happy to offer discounted admission to eligible visitors through the programs listed below. Discounts are available in person only unless otherwise stated. Please ask about discounted admission when you arrive!
Seniors
Seniors are eligible for a $3 discount on admission and additional discounts on memberships.
Children under 3
Admission for children under three years of age is always free at the Field Museum.
Museums for All
Families with valid EBT (Link) or WIC cards from any state are eligible for $3-per-person General Admission for up to six people. Please show your valid EBT (Link) or WIC card when you purchase tickets at the museum (not available online). Museums for All is made possible by Ford Motor Company.
Military Discount
General Admission is complimentary for active-duty military personnel, veterans, and Illinois State Gold Star ID cardholders. Additional discounts are available for up to six military family members. Please show your employee ID, military status ID, or Illinois State ID with Gold Star Family status when purchasing tickets at the museum.
Illinois Teachers
General Admission is free for Illinois teachers (pre-K through 12th grade). Please show your employee ID when purchasing tickets at the museum.
Chicago Residents
Chicago residents can save on General Admission at the museum every day. Select the Chicago ticket when purchasing tickets online and present ID or proof of residency when you arrive at the museum.
Chicago CityKey
Receive free General admission for one visit during the first year after getting your CityKey card. Immediate family members visiting with you also receive free General admission. Please show your CityKey card when purchasing tickets at the museum.
Corporate Members
Employees of our current corporate supporters receive free General Admission for themselves and their guests (number of guests varies by level). Tickets are available onsite with proof of employment, or you can reserve them in advance with your Field Museum Corporate Member ID here. If you don't know your ID, please email partnerships@fieldmuseum.org.
