Collections Assistant, Historic and Contemporary Africa Focus

Aliyah Young is the Collections Management Assistant for the Field Museum's Historic and Contemporary African Collections. Prior to joining the Field Museum's Collections team, Aliyah amassed experience in collections, archives, and educational programming at well-known institutions such as the Indiana State Museum and the Smithsonian Institute. Aliyah received her B.A. in Anthropology and African and Black Diaspora Studies with a minor in Latin American and Latino Studies and her M.A. in History from DePaul University. She is currently pursuing an M.L.I.S. with certifications in Digital Curation and Archives and Cultural Heritage Resources and Services.
