Science at FMNH : Ep. 3 - Oil Bodies Inside Early Land Plants
Oil bodies are only found within the cells of liverworts. Scientists are not sure how liverworts use oil bodies, but some of the chemical compounds from oil bodies have shown activity against bacteria, fungi and certain cancer cell lines.
