Calling all Archaeologists! Join us on Saturday, November 23, for Member Morning Discovery: SUE the T. rex! Bring your little ones and spend a fun-filled Saturday morning at the Museum for the second event in our new Member Morning Discovery series. You and your young explorers will journey back to prehistoric times with a dinosaur-themed craft and hands-on activities to learn more about our favorite T. rex!
All children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult. Children under 3 are free.

This session is part of <a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/activity/native-american-heritage-month">Native American Heritage Month</a> programming, which aims to celebrate Native people and tell Native stories.

For this week's PlayLab PlayDate, families with 2-6 year olds are invited to a free, drop-in storytime and craft led by the <a href="https://www.tricksterculturalcenter.org/" class="waffle-rich-text-link">Trickster Cultural Center</a>. The Trickster Cultural Center is a Native American and community arts center on a mission to increase the visibility of Native American traditions, Veteran contributions, and contemporary cultural arts, through community engagement, social advocacy, and collaborative education.
 Join us in the PlayLab for this interactive presentation during <a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/activity/native-american-heritage-month">Native American Heritage Month</a>.

Tickets for Free Wednesdays are only available to Illinois residents. No special coupon, ticket, or pass is required to enter the Museum during Free Admission Days. Just present a current Illinois driver's license, state ID, or Chicago CityKey card at the ticket desk to establish proof of residency. If you do not have an Illinois identification card, you may establish residency by showing a valid photo ID along with one of the following:

<h2>Museums for All</h2>

Can't make it on a free day? We offer <a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/visit#special-offers">Museums for All and other discounts</a> all year long.

Families who qualify for state food assistance can receive $3-per-person Basic admission for up to six people. Just show an EBT (Link) or WIC card when you purchase tickets at the museum. You cannot take advantage of this special offer when buying tickets online.

<h2>Ticket Pricing Changes</h2>

Please carefully review as some changes have been made to Dozin' with the Dinos ticket prices for 2025.

The Field Museum has announced a price increase for 2025 Dozin' with the Dinos tickets. Standard, Tour, Premium and Group tickets will increase by $10 and Ultimate SUE tickets will increase by $5. The price increase is in effect as of November 1st, 2024.&nbsp;

Cats have their paws in science and culture alike. See your favorite felines like never before in dynamic dioramas with dozens of cats frozen in time. Get up close to discover the characteristics that make them hunters. Journey across the world to see how different countries celebrate cats, from ancient Egypt to modern-day memes. Spot your own cats in a fan submission photo gallery, then learn about the traits they share with their wild relatives. Pounce into the Field Museum on the night of December 17, 2024 for a member-exclusive, after-hours engagement to see Cats: Predators to Pets, the Field Museum&rsquo;s new special exhibition. Museum scientists and staff will hold a panel discussion in James Simpson Theatre and there will be fun, family activities including face painting and photo opportunities outside the newest exhibit as well. We can&rsquo;t wait to see you!

Come join the Urban Rivers team to learn about their efforts in transforming city rivers into urban sanctuaries. Touch and explore specimens and tools from their ongoing research focusing on mussel reintroduction programs and macroinvertebrate surveys. Discover opportunities to become involved through volunteering and participating in community science research.
Presenters include Sage Rossman, Urban Rivers Community Outreach and Programs Manager; Maya Kelly, Urban Rivers Business Operations Manager.

Join the Urban Rivers team as they present Mussels and Macros: Monitoring the Health of the Chicago River

Samantha is a personal development and land based learning consultant who teaches life and employability skills that are grounded by traditional values. She uses her knowledge and experience to help build bridges of new understandings.

Samantha has accepted the gift to continue the work and research on Indigenous Astronomy by her sister Sasha Doxtator who passed away in July 2021. The sharing of this work and knowledge has been referred to as medicine by many communities. This aligns with Samantha's intentions which are to heal Indigenous oppression with astronomical knowledge and original ways of knowing with the focus of nurturing intergenerational gifts, creativity, and innovation. 

This past February, Samantha presented at the world-famous Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City and became the first presenter in history to receive a standing ovation.

Samantha Doxtator, is Haudenosaunee from Oneida Nation of the Thames and Wolf Clan.

This event is part of <a href="https://www.fieldmuseum.org/activity/native-american-heritage-month">Native American Heritage Month</a> programming, which aims to celebrate Native people and tell Native stories.

Join us for a presentation that will take you on an introspective journey through Haudenosaunee Cosmology. From creation to current innovations, perseverance, restoration, the cycles of birth and death, and how they all correlate with the stars. Experience your own connections to grief and healing, compassion, resilience, and peace. Many communities have referred to this presentation as Good Medicine. This aligns with Samantha's intentions to help heal Indigenous oppression with astronomical knowledge and original ways of knowing. This information will light a spark inside of you, and you will want to see it again and again.
This event takes place in the A. Montgomery Ward Lecture Hall on the lower level. Registration is required.

The A. Watson Armour III Seminar Series is a weekly seminar highlighting the research of science professionals across a broad spectrum of scientific interests, disciplines, and lived experiences. This series connects the Field Museum&rsquo;s research, collections, conservation, and associated community with professionals at the forefront of life, geophysical, and social sciences.
